So, times are tough and I have something to complain about again. What's that? You guessed it! Fucking EDUCATION. The most important thing our government could possibly control is utterly failing.

Let's get this party started!

As a high school student, the flaws in our nation's education system (especially in the state of Oregon) are grotesquely apparent. The curriculum is substandard. The teachers are shitty. The facilites are outdated. Rules are left unenforced. Teenagers smoke pot when they should be in class, and are rarely even marked absent. All around, it's horrible, even for those of us in alternative high schools, believe it or not (actually, do. Because it is).

I attend a school with an CEO (College Early Options- fucking hell, even the acronym makes no sense) program. This year, the budget has been cut from $1200 per student to $800. This means two four credit classes. Four college credits accounts for one credit at the high school. I went through, worked out my schedule for the whole on this year and next. If I were to get into the college program next term, I would graduate in 2013, a year after I'm due, whereas if I stayed at the high school, and passed all of my core classes, I would graduate a term early without learning anything.

Bullshit, right? Lose-fucking-lose.

Education is a crucial element of our society and our economy. Education creates jobs and workers. The more we work, the more money we make, and the more we pay come tax time., which means more money for our government. It's a win-win investment. Why would we waste our time investing the the job market (and NOT fixing our problems NOW) when we could invest in education (and FIX our country for the FUTURE generations).

What President Obama needs to do is stop worrying about the popularity contest of politics. Be fucking radical! Do something that will actually fucking help!

Anyway, that's all. I'm done complaining. You can go back to your shitty, work-a-day, confomist lifestyle, and forget all about us kids who have no future because of the problems YOU caused, you fucking hypocrites.
